Top OL Loves Crazy Atmosphere

Penn State appears to be on its way to assembling an outstanding recruiting class this year. One area where the Lions need to attract a few recruits is in the offensive line. On Saturday they received an unofficial visit from perhaps the best offensive lineman in the Northeast.

"Crazy," is the best way Oakhurst, N.J., offensive lineman Lou Eliades could describe his adventure to University Park on Saturday as he watched Penn State upset Ohio State, 17-10.

"It was very nice,' Eliades said. "I really liked it there, it was crazy. My god it was just crazy."

We asked the Ocean Township High standout to expound on “crazy” for us.

"At the end of the game fans were trying to rush the field and they were getting tackles and sprayed with mace," he said. "The fan support there is amazing."

Eliades did not know quite what to expect upon his arrival to Happy Valley.

"It exceeded my expectations, I never expected it to be that wild," he said.

Eliades intends on checking out a few schools before he makes any kind of decision. According to Eliades it would be safe to assume that Penn State has solidified its position in his top five.

"They'll definitely be in my top few schools, I just can't say where for sure until I can compare them to others."

A staph infection has sidelined Eliades for two weeks, but he said he will be at practice today and wants to play this week.
