Illinois Honors: POW & BOB

With Penn State having a record day demolishing Illinois, the Nittany Nation handed out thank yous with their Fight On State Player of the Week and Best of the Backups honors.

Player of the Week

For the second straight week and the third time overall this season Michael Robinson was declared the FOS Player of the Week - this time in overwhelming fashion.

He went 11 for 18 (61%) for 194 yards (17.6 YPC) and four touchdowns, with no interceptions.

On the ground he had seven carries for 69 yards (9.9 YPC)and two touchdowns.

Robinson's win was the most dominating of the season so far, receiving 87% of the fan vote.

Best of the Backups

With so many backups seeing significant action against the Illini, the FOS Staff thought it would only be fitting to hand out a Best of the Backups honor for the game.

This ended up being a battle between Nolan McReady and A.Q. Shipley. In the end though Shipley's three tackles and one sack edged out McCready's three tackles and an interception for a touchdown.
