Where Will PSU Go Bowling?

Orange, Fiesta and Capital One now seem the most likely destinations. Wherever Penn State plays this postseason, Fight On State will be there, and we'd like you to join us with one of our exclusive bowl packages. Pre-register now (with no obligation) to be made aware of our packages the moment they become available.

After experiencing only one bowl trip in the previous five seasons, Penn State fans are anxious to know where the sixth-ranked Nittany Lions will be spending their holidays this year. Saturday's 35-14 blowout of Wisconsin helped narrow the field of likely postseason destinations to three — Orange, Fiesta and Capital One.

Wherever Joe Paterno's team goes bowling, we will be there. And you can join us by pre-registering for an official Fight on State Package (there is no obligation to buy) at this link CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS.

With a win at Michigan State in the regular-season finale Nov. 19, Penn State improves to 10-1 overall and 7-1 in the Big Ten, and earns the league's automatic bid to the BCS.

If form holds around the country — a big “if,” to be sure — the Nittany Lions will most likely land in the Orange Bowl, perhaps in a monster clash with longtime rival Miami.

There is also a chance the Fiesta Bowl could do some backroom tinkering to land the dream matchup of Penn State-Notre Dame.

If form does not hold, all bets are off. There are so many possible scenarios that it is next to impossible to list them all. This much we do know, however: According to Jerry Palm of CollegeBCS.com, for Penn State to land in the national championship game (the Rose Bowl), at least four teams ahead of it in the BCS rankings must lose between now and the end of the regular season. That seems to be a long shot.

In the meantime, a loss to MSU likely knocks PSU out of contention for the automatic BCS bid. And that almost assuredly would mean a trip to the Capital One Bowl in Orlando. This game would be against an SEC team, perhaps another old friend, either Alabama or Georgia.

As we mentioned earlier, wherever Penn State goes, we will be there en masse. And we'd love for you to join us with an official Fight On State bowl package.

The company we've partnered with for this venture, Premiere Sports Travel, sent more than 1,100 Sooners Illustrated fans to watch Oklahoma play USC for the national championship in the Orange Bowl last season, and the trip went off without a hitch.

Packages will include game tickets, air travel, game and hotel transfers, hotel accommodations and more. We will also offer land-only packages and packages without tickets.

There will be different packages available to fit different budgets and covering different lengths of stay at the bowl destination. We will have information on departure sites, travel dates and prices as soon as Penn State's bowl destination is known.

That is why it is important to pre-register with us. The moment our packages are pulled together, you will be alerted via email.
