Lou Eliades had an official visit scheduled for the USC game October 15, but he had to cancel it because his high school team rescheduled a game for that Saturday. This coming weekend would have been perfect for an official visit because the Irish hold their annual football awards banquet, but Eliades has a New Jersey state championship to win.
"Yeah I'd like to," Eliades replied when asked if he'd eventually be able to make an official visit to Notre Dame. "I'll probably go in January actually."
"Notre Dame came to my school Monday," he added.
At this point in the recruiting calendar a prospect really starts to focus in on his final list of schools.
"South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and Penn State," Eliades responded when asked if he had narrowed his choices down. "I've visited all of them except Notre Dame. I went on an official to South Carolina and Virginia Tech. I'd been to Virginia Tech one other time before. I've been to Penn State a couple times, but I'm taking an official visit there too."
"Yeah, they're coming in next week," Eliades answered when asked if the Irish coaches had scheduled an in-home visit with them. "South Carolina was in here last night. The night before Penn State was here."
Eliades said that all the schools were recruiting him as an offensive center or guard, although he does play tackle for his high school. Although he said that he'd like to visit Notre Dame, he also indicated that he wanted to make a decision before Christmas.
