Surprise, Surprise for the Nittany Lions

This weekend's visit list for Penn State was impressive prior to Thursday evening. But it just got a whole lot better. has learned that the Nittany Lions will not only play host to Maurice Evans and Andrew Quarless, but also another pair of nationally ranked stars who will make a surprise visit.

Though he was not quite feeling Penn State early on, the perseverance has paid off for the Nittany Lions staff as Hargrave Military Academy wide receiver Vidal Hazelton decided tonight that he will take his final visit to Penn State this weekend.

"My family is moving to Georgia and I was considering going there or Florida for a visit, but I figured if I'm down there I can take an unofficial," Hazelton said. "I wasn't feelin’ them [Penn State] early on, but I'm feelin them a lot now. You know I'm not an East Coast guy, but I like the way they operate. They have been recruiting me hard, talking to my family and showin' me love."

Hazelton, a native of Staten Island, N.Y., also informed us that he will not be alone in University Park. He will be accompanied by the No. 2 running back in the nation, LeSean McCoy of Bishop McDevitt High in Harrisburg, Pa., McCoy was scheduled to take an official visit to North Carolina State this weekend, but the charismatic Hazelton changed his mind.

"Me and LeSean are tight, I told him he needs to reschedule that trip and come to Penn State with me so he said he is,” Hazelton said. “My boy Andrew Quarless and Maurice Evans will be there, it should be a fun weekend." will have full details of Hazelton's visit on Sunday.
