Ohio RB May Visit PSU

Three-star running back prospect Lance Smith has some decisions to make. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound recruit from Howland High in Warren, Ohio committed to Wisconsin back in August, but has since considered taking visits to some other schools in order evaluate his options.

“The recruiting process has been pretty good,” Smith said. “I'm enjoying it. I'm taking it day by day. When signing day comes I hope I can be happy.”

Smith has offers from the Badgers, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Minnesota. However, despite his inclination to visit some other schools, Smith stated that he remains committed to Wisconsin, at least for now.

“I'm still 100 percent with Wisconsin,” Smith said. “I want to enjoy the recruitment process. Until I see something else different, I will remain a Badger.”

Smith, who has already taken an unofficial visit to Wisconsin this season, said he will take an official visit there sometime in January. After that, Smith said he will decide whether to take an additional visit, which will either be to Penn State or Pittsburgh.

“It all depends on how my visit to Wisconsin goes,” Smith said. “In the next coming weeks I'm either taking a visit to Penn State or Pittsburgh.”

Smith also laid to rest issues as to what position he is being recruited to play in college.

“Every school is recruiting me at running back,” Smith said.
