All-State Honors for PSU Class

Currently the Nittany Lions have four Pennsylvania propsects in their Class of 2006, all of whom were honored as first team All-State selections for their performances this year on the field.

The Associated Press has named their 2005 All-State team selections, which includes members of Penn State's Class of 2006.

Class AAAA

Travis McBride, McKeesport Area S.H.S.

Although the 6-foot-1, 195 pound McBride was the top running back in the WPIAL with a career average of 11 yards per carry, he was selected to the first team squad at defensive back, the position PSU recruited him for.

Tom McEowen, Neshaminy H.S.

The 6-foot-4, 275 pound McEowen anchors the first team defensive line thanks to his three sacks and 74 tackles this season.

Class AAA

Jared Odrick, Lebanon H.S.

The 6-foot-6, 285 pound lineman was a first team selection for the Pennsylvania squad, and was also selected to USA Today's All-USA First Team.

Class AA

Abe Koroma, Milton S. Hershey H.S.

The 6-foot-3, 285 pound lineman was a first team selection. He was also named to the Capital Division's first team offensive line and defensive line and was honored as the division's defensive MVP.

Other prospects of PSU interest selected to All-State teams in the Keystone State include LeSean McCoy (Class AAAA first team), Pat Bostick (Class AAAA second team), Elijah Fields (Class A Player of the Year) and David Posluszny (Class AAA second team).
