Lions Add More N.Y. and Md. Talent

Now ranked No. 7 nationally, the Nittany Lions' Class of 2006 continues to grow with the addition of more talent from New York and Maryland, with 44% of the Class of 2006 currently from the Empire and Old Line States.

With the addition of Andrew Quarless and J.B. Walton, Penn State continues to strengthen its inroads into several surrounding recruiting regions, including Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey and New York.

With 18 recruits in the Class of 2006, the Nittany Lions have moved up to No. 7 nationally in the Scout recruiting rankings thanks to nine four star and one five star prospects.

The make up of the current class is 22% from Pennsylvania and 78% elsewhere, including New York (17%), Delaware (6%), New Jersey (22%), Maryland (28%) and Virginia (6%).
