Crunch Time For the Nittany Lions

With the Feb. 1 signing day rapidly approaching, Penn State is putting the finishing touches on its Class of 2006. The Nittany Lions have 18 verbal commitments, which means they have seven scholarships left to offer (there is flexibility there, but we'll say seven to make things less complicated). Who is going to fill those final seven slots?

We're going to go out on a limb and project the players we think will grab five of them. As for the other two? Well, there is some time left in this recruiting season for the Penn State staff to do a bit of moving and shaking (remember Anthony Morelli in 2004?), so we'll leave the last two open for the time being.

Please realize, these are educated guesses and nothing more. And take note that the players mentioned below are listed in alphabetical order, not in the order they committed or may commit.
