Scout TV: Kevin Rouse

Kevin Rouse, a 6-foot-1, 220-pound, linebacker from Catholic High in Joliet, Ill., is one of the top junior prospects in the Midwest. Rouse ran a 4.65 at the junior combine that was held earlier this month in San Antonio. He is considering Penn State and several other schools.

Rouse preps at one of the most storied programs in the Midwest and he has the tackling ability of former Hilltopper linebacker Chris Jeske (Northwestern) and the speed and power of another former JCA star Mike Goolsby (Notre Dame).

Here are clips of Rouse's junior season. Rouse is an inside linebacker, wearing #44. Rouse is going to get some serious looks in 2006. He has cat like quickness, he flies to the football. Rouse reads and reacts very well, understands angles to the football and he's a punishing tackler. What I like the most about Rouse is he doesn't give up on a single play. He's relentless.

Rouse says that Northwestern, Notre Dame, Penn State, Mississippi, Illinois, Indiana and Northern Illinois are his current favorites.
