Hot 100 Highlight PSU Class

The Nittany Lion coaching staff is assembling what is quickly becoming one of the best recruiting classes in this history of the Penn State program. With over a quarter of the members of the Class of 2006 are member's of the National Hot 100 list, it obvious to see why the Nittany Nation is so excited about the future.

Currently six of Penn State's 23 Class of 2006 members are included in Scout's Natinal hot 100 list. That equates to 26 percent of the class.

These Hot 100 prospects include:

  • Antonio Logan-El, No. 35, 5 Stars: Top five OL nationally.
  • Chris Bell, No. 45, 5 Stars: Top five WR nationally.
  • Pat Devlin, No. 53, 4 Stars: Top four QB nationally.
  • Jared Odrick, No. 55, 4 Stars: Top four DT nationally.
  • Maurice Evans, No. 62, 4 Stars: Top six DE nationally.
  • A.J. Wallace, No. 87, 4 Stars: Top eight CB nationally.

This group holds a myriad of national honors including Parade All-American honors, USA Today All-American honors, U.S. Army All-American honors and Gatorade Player of the Year honors.

There is also a chance this group could expand, with a degree of possibility that Penn State could add the following players to its Class of 2006:

  • Vidal Hazelton, No. 5, 5 Stars: Number one WR nationally.
  • LeSean McCoy, No. 22, 5 Stars: Top six RB nationally.
  • Elijah Fields, No. 57, 4 Stars: Top seven S nationally.
