Several members of Penn State's Class of 2006 were in attendance at the event from three different states, including Aaron Maybin, Bani Gbadyu, Antonio Logan-El, Phillip Taylor, A.J. Wallace, J.B. Walton, Pat Devlin, Tom McEowen, Jared Odrick and Eric Latimore.

To kickoff the press conference the recruits entered the room in single file to thunderous cheers and applause from Penn State fans.

Aaron Maybin talked about the Group Signing event, saying, "It's been a great experience to meet all of these guys and it is going to be great to play alongside them."

He also talked about the current Penn State team and players, saying, "They really did a great job of winning our hearts over. They proved their hearts and souls on the field for every single game."

Maybin, considered by many to be one of the primary leaders of the class early on, was also a primary spokesman for the group. He showed great enthusiasm throughout the event and pointed his excitement towards Penn State's future, saying, "I want to win more than one National Championship and these guys will help us accomplish that."

Pennsylvania blue chip quarterback Pat Devlin made the trek from Southeastern Pa. When asked why he felt it was important to attend he explained, "I just thought it would be a great opportunity to meet my future teammates and develop some relationships."

Despite the fact this class has received tremendous press, Aaron Maybin made it clear that the class has work to do, saying "All the press accolades are great, it's up to us now to put in the hard work and everything else."
