PSU Pursuing Jr. Pa. WR

With the ink barely dry on the Class of 2006's LOIs, the Nittany Lions have alread started addressing their top prospects for the Class of 2007. One of the top WR prospects in Pennsylvania says the Lions have been showing him attention already.

Pennsylvania will be deep in 2007 and one of the top names you will hear will be Ty Bynum. Bynum is a talented 6-1.5, 185 pound, wide receiver from Conestoga Valley High in Lancaster, Pa.

"I don't have any offers yet, but I'm getting a lot of mail from Virginia, West Virginia, Purdue, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Indiana, Notre Dame, Northwestern, and UConn," Bynum said.

Bynum finished his junior season with 71 catches for 1,129 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also scored a touchdown on an interception return. For his efforts, Bynum was named first team Associated press Class AAAA All-State and first team All-Section Two in the Lancaster/Lebanon League.

As far as early favorites go there are two that currently stand out to Bynum.

"I grew up watching Florida State and Peter Warrick, but that's too far from home," he said. "I watch a lot of teams on T.V., but for some reason Pitt just stands out to me the most. I'm not sure what it is I just like them."

Bynum will participate in the All-American Combine at the University of Pittsburgh on March 4.
