Kicker Joins PSU Class of 2006

Penn State continues to add talent to the Class of 2006. This time Collin Wagner, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound kicker from State College (Pa.) High has pledged to join the class as a walk-on.

Penn State has added even more depth to its already deep kicking unit with the addition of walk-on Collin Wagner, who handeld kicking and punting duties for State College High over the past couple of seasons.

This past season he hit 40 of 41 PATs (97.56 percent) and seven of 11 field goals with a long of 47 yards. He also booted 48 punts for an average of 39 yards this year.

Wagner has received a myriad of honors, including being selected to the Pennsylvania Big 33 squad, elected to Pennsylvania Big 33 Team, Pennsylvania Football News Class AAAA first-team All-State at punter, Harrisburg Patriot-News Platinum 33 Team at kicker, Associated Press Pennsylvania Class AAAA first-team All-State at punter, and first-team place-kicker Mid-Penn Conference.

Wagner also finished tied for third overall among college and high school kickers at the 4th Down Sports Elite Competition Camp and was rated a 4 Star (highest rating) in kickoffs at the Kicking Combine.

Wagner attended Penn State's football camp and placed second overall in the kickoff distance competition.
