Hazelton's Surprise Visit

UPDATED WITH PHOTOS: Though Penn State's first Junior Day for the Class of 2007 was cancelled due to the storm bearing down on Happy Valley, the Nittany Lions received a surprise visit from one of the nation's top receivers, Vidal Hazelton. Get more details on his visit.

There has been a firestorm of debate surrounding Scout.com's No. 1-ranked wide receiver, Vidal Hazelton, and whether he will elect to go to USC or PSU.

Though his decision is yet to be announced, it can't hurt that he made a surprise visit to University Park on Saturday and took in the Penn State hoops game with a variety of Penn Staters.

Hazelton sat in the first row with his father, Dexter Hazelton, and a variety of Nittany Lions, including Daryll Clark, Derrick Williams, Justin King, Lydell Sargeant, Deon Butler, Navorro Bowman and future Lion Pat Devlin. Coaches Mike McQueary and Ron Vanderlinden were also sitting with the wide receiver, and Brian Norwood showed up later.

The students made Hazelton's presence no secret, chanting "Vi-dal...Haz-el-ton."

Stay tuned to Fight On State for continuing coverage of Hazelton's decision.
