FOS Audio: Paterno at Dodd Dinner

About 350 people crammed the Presidents Hall at the Penn Stater Hotel Monday night as Joe Paterno was honored as the 2005 Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year. The Nittany Lion mentor received a standing ovation before addressing the crowd and another when he was through. Hear what he had to say here.

Paterno, who also captured the award in 1981, is the first two-time winner of the trophy, which debuted in 1976. Among the people who spoke Monday was George Morris, a former player under Dodd at Georgia Tech and current member of the Dodd Foundation.

In his speech, Paterno talked about his memories of the legendary Dodd. He also touched on the people he feels deserve the credit for the success of the 2005 Nittany Lions and much more.
