Carolina Blue (and White)?

In recent years the Carolinas have been very good to Penn State, providing talent like Courtney Brown, Bobby Engram, Calvin Lowry, Rodney Kinlaw and Paul Cianciolo. Well, the Nittany Lions may be looking South again for the Class of 2007.

When Wesley Saunders arrived home from school Thursday afternoon, he was greeted by his fourth scholarship offer.

"I walked in the door I got the mail and opened it and it was an official offer from South Carolina," said Saunders.

Saunders, a 6-foot-5 245-pound defensive end from Durham (N.C.) Riverside, also holds offers from Clemson, North Carolina, and N.C. State. However, the Gamecocks immediately jump to the front of the list by offering.

"South Carolina has been fighting with Florida and Notre Dame all along," said Saunders. "But now I'm going to look at them a little closer. They are my favorite [offering] school, so far."

This spring Wesley Saunders hasn't made any unofficial visits, but that will change when he attends either Clemson's or East Carolina's spring game on April 8th.

Saunders has yet to map out his summer camping schedule, but will definitely camp at South Carolina in July.

Judging by the strong interest and constant communication from Auburn and Penn State, it appears only matter of time before Saunders receives his fifth offer.

Saunders hasn't taken any unofficial visits yet, but plans to attend spring games at N.C. State and North Carolina. He also hopes to camp at Notre Dame, Penn State, North Carolina, and N.C. State this summer.
