Offers Pouring In...

Though Tyrod Taylor's focus the last few months has been firmly planted on his junior basketball season, the four-star quarterback still continued to collect scholarship offers for football. "I'm up to eleven offers," said Taylor.

So which schools have offered?

“The recent ones are Penn State, Georgia Tech and Florida.”

Occupied by basketball, Taylor is incapable of naming any favorites at this time.

“No, I don’t really have a favorite that I’m really looking at, right now,” said Taylor. “I’m just open right now.”

Taylor will begin to make his first unofficial visits in the upcoming weeks. He plans to attend as many spring games as possible with Virginia Tech the only set destination on April 15. He is also in the scheduling stages for a trip to Florida, Virginia and Clemson.

Sunday, Taylor made his first football-oriented trip of the year when he traveled to Durham, N.C., for’s All-American Combine. He only participated in one-on-one passing drills and although he has only been throwing for two and a half weeks, Taylor was named to’s All-Combine first eam.

In addition to the three aforementioned schools, Taylor, a 6-foot-2, 180-pounder from Hampton, Va., also holds offers from Florida State, Maryland, Mississippi, N.C. State, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
