Lions in Mix for N.Y. TE

Rob Gronkowski, a 6-foot-6, 250-pound tight end from Williamsville North High in Williamsville, N.Y., has accumulated 13 offers to date, including Clemson, Maryland, Michigan State, Arizona, Florida, Penn State, Duke, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Georgia Tech and Buffalo.

"There may be a few other MAC schools or something, but those are the one's I remember," Gronkowski said. "Michigan State, Boston College and Penn State are the most recent. Penn State offered me three weeks ago and Boston College offered a day later. Michigan State offered a week ago."

Gronkowski visited Florida recently.

"I went down there last week," he said. "It was real good, I liked it a lot. The stadium was nice and I liked all the coaches."

Of all the schools that have offered, Gronkowski is focused on four currently.

"Arizona, Maryland, Florida and Clemson are the four that stick out now,” he said. “I'll still visit some other schools."

Gronkowski has two brothers' who play for the Terrapins. Does that give the Terp's an advantage?

"It's a tough decision. Part of me wants to play with them and part of me wants to do my own thing,” he said

Penn State is one such school that may receive a visit.

“I'll go visit them when I get a chance,” he said. “They've been recruiting me pretty hard.”
