Another Hahn at PSU?

Kevin Hahn is another prospect who is emerging on to the recruiting scene from the Empire State. Hahn's brother (Matt Hahn) was one of the top recruits from the state in 2005, eventually signing with the Nittany Lions. Will Kevin follow the same path to Happy Valley as his brother?

Kevin Hahn, a 5-fot-11, 220-pound athlete, from Half Hollow Hills West High in Dix Hills, N.Y. has many physical attributes that make him effective on the field of play, but he believes his passion for the game is one of his biggest assets.

"I feel I am a determined player. I play very intense. I also try to go out and play a smart game. I think that those are my biggest strengths," Hahn said.

Hahn also draws inspiration from his brother, who is a player that he has been able to look up to over the years.

"My brother Matt plays at Penn State. He plays the same type of game as me. He plays every game as if it is his last and leaves it all on the field. His is a good leader and he always makes everyone around him better. I would consider him the player that I try to pattern myself after the most."

Hahn is receiving recruiting interest from Syracuse, Rutgers, Penn State, Pennsylvania, Temple, Minnesota and Vanderbilt, but three schools have risen to the top of his current list.

"I would say for now that Syracuse, Rutgers, and UPenn are my top three schools. They all have great academics and big football programs. I am definitely going to be looking at the academics when I select a school. I will most likely be an insurance or business major," Hahn explained.

Hahn has only been able to take one unofficial visit, and he is planning to take a few more trips very soon.

"I went to a type of junior day at Rutgers when they played Louisville," Hahn said. "I liked the nice crowd at the game. They were diehard fan type of people. It was a good experience."

"I will be going to Syracuse this weekend to see spring practice. I am excited about that trip. Syracuse is very interested in me."

"I am also planning on going back out to Rutgers sometime in April to see their spring practices as well."

It sounds like it is going to be a busy April for Hahn, as he will also be participating in the Combine that will be held in Piscataway (4/23).

"I am definitely interested to see how I do against the top competition. I have been training hard for it. I am just going to go and give it all that I got," Hahn explained of his excitement for the combine.

As a junior, Hahn rushed for over 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns while netting All-County, All-League, and All-Long Island honors.
