FOS Community Weekend Events

As part of our extensive list of Blue-White Weekend activities, FightOnState.com will stage an informal get-together for its community Friday evening at a legendary State College hot spot. We'll have tables set up at prominent locations downtown and at Beaver Stadium during the course of the weekend, as well.

Staffers will be on hand to talk Nittany Lion football, shoot the breeze and enjoy a cold one or two as FightOnState.com will be setting up shop for Happy Hour at The Lion's Den starting at 6 p.m. Friday.

The Lion's Den is located at 118 South Garner Street in State College. Most FOS staffers will be decked out in their black and white bowling shirts. Later in the evening, The Den is running a Bacardi promotion, which should be fun.

Earlier in the day Friday, we will have a table in front of Old State Clothing on 310 East College Avenue in the heart of downtown State College. Staffers will be passing out FREE sample issues of Fight On State the Magazine, talking about special deals we have going on now and, of course, talking Penn State football. Special guests will be stopping by from time to time.

Speaking of which, we also plan to unveil a new feature of FightOnState.com this weekend — live webcasting. Mark Brennan, Jeff “Ironhead” Byers and Steve Penstone are scheduled to be “on the air” with FOS LIVE from noon until 2 p.m. Friday, and from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

You can listen at this link.

They are scheduled to interview a variety of folks, including former Nittany Lion great Blair Thomas, Scout.com recruiting expert Bob Lichtenfels, Penn State sports historian Lou Prato and the infamous PlaybookMark.

Also, the first FOS subscriber who stops by to say hello during each webcast will get a chance to join us on the webcast.

Up at Beaver Stadium, we will have a booth set up from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday evening and from 10 a.m. until kickoff Saturday. We will be in the concert area just across the street from the front of the Bryce Jordan Center.

Better still, we will literally be right next to the spot where Penn State will be holding its Locker Room Sale.

At the stadium we will be passing out free sample issues of Fight On State the Magazine (while supplies last), alerting fans to a couple of special promotions we have going on and talking Penn State football.

At least one FOS publisher is scheduled to be on hand during our myriad of promotional activities over the weekend, so we hope you take the time to say hello.

And remember, with the crazy spring weather that often hits State College, plans may change along the way. If they do, we will update our schedule as quickly as possible on our primary message boards.

In the meantime, do not leave for the game until checking out our special downloads.
