Ohio Safety Eyeing PSU

Penn State knows Ursuline High School pretty well, after all Nittany Lion quarterback Daryll Clark is a prospect of the school. We'll it now seems that another prospect, this time in the Class of 2007, is showing interest in Penn State. Find out who the prospect is and what his thoughts are on the Nittany Lions after he made his official visit.

Matt Yarab, a 6-foot-0, 220–pound athlete from Ursuline High in Youngstown, Ohio is a gritty prospect who is receiving serious looks from some of countries top football programs.

"I am receiving interest from Penn State, Iowa, Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Southern Cal, West Virginia and Syracuse," Yarab explained. "Syracuse, Penn State, Iowa and Pitt are the schools that are talking to me the most.

"I went on unofficial visits to see Penn State, Akron and Ohio State. The atmosphere at Penn State was amazing. There were no egos and everyone was just concentrating on winning.

"I would definitely want to play for a school that competes to win football games year in and year out."

As a junior, Yarab racked up around 100 tackles earning All-Conference and All-Northeast Ohio honors for his efforts.
