Derrick Morgan recorded ten sacks last season on his way to earning All-League and All-Area honors. Choosen his league's top defensive lineman, Morgan has over five offers despite having flown under the recruiting radar until recently, when Bob Lichtenfels uncovered the Keystone State prospect. The Philadelphia Inquirer named him a second team All-Southeastern PA selection thanks to his 4.8-4.9 range forty yard dash speed. He also excels in the class room with a 3.77 GPA.

"I have offers from Penn State, West Virginia, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Michigan State, and Vanderbilt," he said. "Northwestern and Florida have also shown interest. I was hoping to be recruited, but I didn't think it would take off like this."

The talented defensive lineman has made two unofficial visits so far to Penn State and Syracuse.

He spoke about PSU, saying, "I went to junior day there. It was a nice trip. The facilities are top of the line. I got to talk to a few of the players and the coaches. The coaches are real there."
