ScoutAudio: A.Z. Talks PSU, NFL

Fans around the Nittany Nation were curious as to why Alan Zemaitis elected to not play in the Senior Bowl, which seemingly impacted his draft stock. Hear Zemaitis address this question and a variety of other topics, including how PSU and Paterno develop players, his ability to lead on the field and more.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers very nearly drafted Alan Zemaitis in the second round, with the 59th pick overall, but in the end took a gamble and selected Boston College tackle Jeremy Trueblood instead.

The Penn State cornerback was still there in Round Four, at the 122nd pick, when Tampa Bay selected the big, physical, play-making defensive back who is seemingly an ideal fit for their "cover two" defense.

As head coach Jon Gruden said of Zemaitis during the team's mini-camp, "Zemaitis, much like we thought, is a very instinctive, reliable football player who has a ways to go but I do believe he fits our structure and he's going to be a good player."

In this 14 minute audio interview conducted prior to his selection, Alan Zemaitis covers a wide array of topics, including his reasoning for skipping the Senior Bowl, thoughts on Paterno and more.
