N.Y. TE Talks Recruiting

With over 20 scholarship offers, including three recent additions, Scout four-star tight end prospect Rob Gronkowski talks about where his decision process stands as well as the timing around it.

Scout.com four-star prospect Rob Gronkowski eclipses the 20-scholarship offer mark with the addition of three new tenders. "I've added Michigan, Ohio State, and Connecticut the last week or so," said Gronkowski. "I'm around 20 offers now."

The trio of offers join the likes of Arizona, Boston College, Buffalo, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina, Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse on Gronkowski's offers list.

During the spring Gronkowski only unofficially visited Maryland and will revisit College Park when he attends the Terrapins summer camp. He is also in the process of planning unofficial trips to North Carolina, Boston College, and Clemson.

Gronkowski denies any favorites, but the 6-foot-6, 250-pound tight end has a timeline.

"I don't want to commit until after I cut my schools down to like a five," said Gronkowski. "I'll make that cut by the end of the summer. I'll keep it to the five until I decide to commit. [I hope to make a verbal commitment] sometime after the season begins."

During his junior season at Williamsville (N.Y.) North, Gronkowski caught 36 passes for 648 yards and seven touchdowns earning All-Western New York and Second Team All-State honors. On defense he added 73 tackles including five for a loss and six sacks, and forced two fumbles.
