Lions Pursuing N.J. DB

Pennington, N.J. defensive back Dominique Herald has seen his recruitment pick up in recent weeks. caught up with Herald's head coach at The Pennington School, Jerry Eure, to talk a little bit about what teams are interested in the 6-foot-0, 180-pound safety, and where things stand with Penn State.

"Things are really heating up for Dominique right now," Eure said. "Penn State, Boston College, Tennessee, Syracuse, and Ohio State have shown a lot of interest recently. In addition to those schools Dominique also has a written offer from Maryland and things are still warming up with Michigan State as well."

"Penn State and Boston College want Dominique to come to their summer camps so they can take a look at him if they are going to offer this summer," Eure said. "Coach Dick Anderson at Penn State loves Dominique, he is in daily contact with him through text messages and all that trying to get him to come to their two-day camp."

"Tennessee's defensive back coach also said he looked at Dominique's film and he loved it. He said he would pass it on to the head man (Coach Phillip Fulmer) and they would go from there," Eure said.

"Syracuse has also shown a lot of interest in Dominique as well as Ohio State. Ohio State was just in here recently," Eure said.

"Everyone seems to love Dominique's highlights and his game tape. I think he is probably the second best safety in New Jersey this year behind the kid from North Bergen (Evan Rodriguez)," Eure said.
