"Last year I played running back and linebacker," Corey said. "I had 14 touchdowns on 700 yards rushing and I averaged 11.3 yards per carry. I also had 500 yards receiving on 31 catches. On defense, I had around 35 tackles.
"This year, they're going to stick me at safety and running back. We have a great core coming back so it should be very interesting.
"I'm being recruited to play safety, drop linebacker, which is like a coverage backer, and some running back too."
McKeon listed his written scholarship offers in the following order: Wisconsin, Boston College, Bowling Green, Miami of Ohio, Northern Illinois and Purdue.
"Nebraska and UCLA have been showing a lot of interest lately too."
Corey will soon be heading east with his father and head coach, Larry McKeon, to check out several schools.
"I plan on taking a trip up [to Boston College] the end of July. I was just going to head east and hit every school on the way. We might even hit South Carolina."
Penn State has also expressed interest in Corey although to this point, the Nittany Lions have not officially extended a scholarship offer.

me to play running back which is kind of strange. They said they like me on tape, they like big backs and they think I could fill the mold there pretty well. I'm not going to complain, but I think I'd be better on the defensive side.
"Coach Vanderlinden talked to my dad during the month of May. I haven't had much contact with them since then although I've gotten a lot of hand-written letters from them recently.
"I'll check them out. I heard Happy Valley is a very gorgeous place, so I definitely want to see it."
It appears as though Wisconsin is McKeon's early leader.
"I still have to check out a lot of schools. I really like Wisconsin right now though because I went to camp there and I like the coaches. I know the coaches really well. It's a great staff and a great program, so I really like them right now.
"They offered me a long time ago, at least 5 or 6 months ago. They were my
Wisconsin is recruiting him to play safety and drop backer.
He has also visited Illinois, Iowa and Northern Illinois.
"I've been to Northern, but I was there for a basketball camp. I got a chance to see that area and I talked to Coach Novak. I like Northern, they're a great place too."
Corey will take a few more visits before deciding.
"I'm probably going to take my trips. I don't plan on staying very close to home. That's not a big deal for me. I want to get out and see a lot of schools so I'm probably going to wait."
