Is Penn State in the Driver's Seat?

Massillon, Ohio linebacker Andrew Dailey (6-foot-3, 215 pounds, 4.6 second forty), from Washington High School, said he favors Penn State (offer) solidly over Michigan, Notre Dame and Florida (offer). Hear what he has to say about the Nittany Lions along with his other favorites, as well as the timing of his decision.

"I plan to commit before the season starts. I'm looking for a school with tradition and a linebacker coach I get along well with," Dailey said.

"Penn State has great coaching staff--they're like a family. And it's in a great little town. The atmosphere must be wild during game season because the stadium holds 109,000 fans--I think it's the second largest in the country. They also ranked number three this year in the nation. Their tradition is big and I think they will be a top contender pretty soon and come back to the top of the Big Ten.

"I went to one day of Michigan's five-day camp and met the linebacker coach and coach (Lloyd) Carr. The academics are underrated--they're comparable to Notre Dame's," he said. "Michigan has great tradition. It's a top Big Ten contender. Coach (Scot) Loeffler text-messaged me to say that he needs to talk to me around July 5, so hopefully it's good news about an offer.

"Notre Dame is showing a lot of interest. They're recruiting me the hardest next to Penn State. The Irish are also going to be contacting me later this week. They are trying to make my academics work," Dailey said.

"Florida has a great campus. Coach (Urban) Meyer is from Ohio like me. He'll understand if I don't go to Florida, but he gives me good reason to. He's very supportive. We both know how the north is more physical--bigger and stronger, and the south has the speed. He says I have the physique and speed they're looking for.

Dailey reports a 3.1 GPA and 18 ACT.
