Camp Report: Calvin Lowry

Fomer Penn State secondary teammates Rich Gardner and Calvin Lowry are once again suiting up in the same uniform, this time with the Tennessee Titans. Garner provides an update on Lowry's progress in preseason camp so far.

Drafted in the fourth round as the 102nd pick overall, Calvin Lowry has been getting acclimated to the professional level of play. According to his past PSU and current Tennessee Titan teammate, Rich Gardner, "Calvin's looking good in camp."

Seeing his reps primarily at the free safety position, Gardner says Lowry has a lot of upside that he is displaying in practice. According to Gardner, "He's smart and has picked up the defensive scheme quickly. Also he adjusts his style of play well and makes good reads."

In terms odf weaknesses, Gardner said, "Well, he's a rookie, so he, like the other new guys, makes mistakes, but he is learning from the, which is what is most important."

Aside from seeing reps with the secondary at free safety, Lowry is also seeing some time on punt and kick returns, a position he manned throughout the course of his career at Penn State.
