2006 LFL Fantasy Challenge

So you say you've always wanted to take part in Penn State's grueling Lift For Life Challenge, but you don't have the physical ability (not to mention the spot on the football team) needed to participate? Then we have just the thing for you in the Annual Lift For Life Fantasy Challenge.

For the second straight year, FightOnState.com is proud to present the LFL Fantasy Challenge, where you can pick your own team of four Nittany Lions to have at it in a “fantasy” competition against other teams.

For scoring, we use the actual results of the actual players who take part in Lift For Life, which goes down at Holuba Hall on the Penn State campus Friday afternoon.

LFL, if you have not heard, is an event founded and run by Nittany Lion football players where the athletes compete in a series of physical exercises (from the bench press to the giant tire flip), all to raise money for the fight against Kidney cancer.

This is a great cause and we encourage everyone to pick their Fantasy Team to show their support for Lift For Life. To make things fun, we are asking everyone to choose three returning players and one incoming freshman.

See the entry form here.

Due to significant NCAA red tape involving student athletes, we DO NOT offer prizes for this contest. But if you finish high, you will be able to take serious pride in the fact that you know the strengths and weaknesses of the Penn State football team as well as anybody.

In its first three years, Lift For Life has raised more than $80,000 for the fight against Kidney Cancer. You can attend the event on campus (from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. Friday) for the suggested donation of $10 per individual or $25 per family.

You can also sponsor individual players this year via the secure LFL website. Go to this link for details.

And be sure to check out the 2006 Lift For Life Forum to talk about all of the action.
