N.Y. DL Visits Happy Valley

With the likes of Spencer Ridenhour, Matt Hahn, Rich Ohrnberger, Andrew Quarless, Maurice Evans and Ollie Ogbu, New York has become a regular recruiting target for PSU. In terms of the Class of 2006, the Lions have once again looked to the Empire State with the addition of Stephfon Green. This time a Brooklyn defensive lineman made the trip to Happy Valley to see what the Lions have to offer.

Kevin Brown of Canarsie High in Brooklyn, N.Y. has been very busy working on his strength and conditioning with his teammates, preparing for what they hope to be a state championship season, but had time recently to check out one of college football's most storied programs.

"I visited Penn State and checked out their facilities and campus," Brown said. "They're all about hard-nosed, big-hit, bang-out brand of football down there and that's my game. I really liked the area and got along with the coaches. I'm going to make another trip there in late December before I make my decision."

Brown, a 6-foot-4, 270 pound defensive lineman claims verbal offers from Pittsburgh and Syracuse, as well as a written offer from Rutgers. As a junior he registered 50 tackles, three sacks and four forced fumbles.
