A Reel Pain For New Jersey Star

Karon Robinson switched schools recently and is now attending Camden Catholic High in Cherry Hill, N.J. Unfortunately that moves seems to be slowing down his recruitment quite a bit. See why as we catch up with the prospect.

“I’ve been trying to get my film from my old school (Woodrow Wilson) to send out, but it’s been tough,” Karon Robinson said. “I am talking to a number of colleges on a consistent basis, but they all want my film right now.”

The 6-foot, 175-pound wide receiver is getting heavy interest from Iowa, Rutgers, Virginia and Pittsburgh, and also camped at Temple and Penn State this summer.

“Penn State is the best,” he said. “It just continues to be a better experience for me every time I make it to their campus. I love Happy Valley and I love the atmosphere surrounding the program. They said they just need to see me in some game action and that I’d have a great shot at being offered then. I’m definitely hoping to go to at least a couple games this season there.

“Temple camp was a great experience for me. The coaches there are great guys and they’re very straightforward with you. They take the time to help you learn how to become a better player. I’m convinced that within a few years that coaching staff will build a great program for themselves.”

Robinson reports an 870 core SAT score and a 3.1 GPA.
