Friday Fun With Fight On State

Meet Playbook Mark and Mark Brennan, participate in ChatCast, and get your Whiteout T-Shirt as our Community events kick into high gear now that the Big Ten season is upon us. We're ready to talk Penn State football. You better be prepared, too.

Penn State football games may be played on Saturdays. But at, Nittany Lion gridiron action is at the center of attention 24/7. And things really heat up on home Fridays, with a couple of FOS Community events.

From noon until 1 p.m. Friday, Mark Brennan and Jeff Byers do the FOS ChatCast from Old State Clothing in downtown State College. You can listen to them discuss the upcoming game and more online at this link and ask questions via the "Join Live Chat" link at the top of our message boards.

If you are in town, stop by Old State at 310 East College Avenue to say hello and ask a question or two on the air. Our friends at Fisk Internet Services in State College provide FOS streaming.

Later, the fun really kicks into high gear during Happy Hour at the Lion's Den at 118 South Garner Street downtown. FOS Happies run from 6-8 p.m. (and sometimes beyond). This week, Mark Harrington (PlaybookMark) and Mark Brennan will be on hand to talk Penn State football and more.

Recently remodeled, The Lion's Den has numerous flat screen TVs to keep track of all of the latest sporting events, as well as terrific drink and food specials.

And if you are in town this weekend, do not forget to pick up your Official Whiteout T-Shirt. They are now available exclusively at Old State on Campus at the Visitors' Center near Beaver Stadium. There is a limited supply, so be sure to pick up yours before Penn State's next Whiteout is called for the Michigan game.

Net proceeds from the Whiteout T-Shirts go to the Nittany Lion football team's Lift For Life Charity. So show your school pride and support a good cause by buying a shirt.

We will also have a booth set up at the Visitors' Center Saturday from noon until kickoff where you can learn about our latest offers at

So if you are in Happy Valley this weekend, make sure to stop by and see us at some point. Or stop by and say hello at all of our events. You are part of the Community, and we look forward to meeting you in person.
