Hunt Scores Third FOS POG of '06

With 144 yards against Minnesota, Tony Hunt has averaged just under 140 yards per game in his past four contests. For his efforts against the Gophers the Nittany Nation has named Hunt Player of the Game for the third time this season in six games.

Tony Hunt has shown once again why he is one of the most underrated backs in the nation, let alone the Big Ten. With 31 carries for 144 yards and two touchdowns on the ground and a receiving touchdown, Hunt is currently ranked No. 11 nationally for yards per game with 111 per contest.

Previously Hunt won FOS Player of the Game honors for the Youngstown State and Ohio State games. In this week's voting he ran away with over 75 percent of the fan vote.

Here are the results of this week's voting:

Tony Hunt: 75.6%
Jeremy Kapinos: 4.5%
Anthony Morelli: 8.1%
Offensive Line: 6.3%
Derrick Williams: 5.4%

Here is how the voting results have shaken out through the first six games this season:

Akron: Dan Connor (13 tackles and two sacks)
Notre Dame: Jordan Norwood (six catches for 92 yards)
Youngstown State: Tony Hunt (18 carries for 143 yards and one TD)
Ohio State: Tony Hunt (24 carries for 135 yards)
