FOS Week 6 NFL Report

Short stood tall, Gould stayed perfect, Engram sat out and Hali stepped up in a losing effort. Get the lowdown on what these and other former Nittany Lions did in their respective NFL game over the weekend.

Bryant Johnson, WR, Arizona

Johnson hauled in two catches for 17 yards and a touchdown, but the Cardinals lost in dramatic fashion to Chicago, 24-23. Arizona dropped to 1-5 with the loss.

David Macklin, CB, Arizona

Macklin recorded one tackle and was part of a strong defensive performance by Arizona in which it held Chicago's top-rated offense to just a field goal. The Cardinals lost the game due to turnovers and missed opportunities and fell to 1-5.

John Gilmore, TE, Chicago

Gilmore was held without a catch as the Bears' offense struggled but was picked up by its defense and special teams, which scored three times in the second half to give the Bears a 24-23 win. Chicago is 6-0.

Robbie Gould, K, Chicago

Gould remained perfect for the year, kicking a 23-yarder to move to 18-18 on the year. He was also 3-3 on extra points in the game, including what turned out to be the game winning point as Chicago squeaked out of Arizona with a 24-23 win.

Ethan Kilmer, S, Cincinnati

Kilmer recorded one tackle on special teams as the Bengals lost in the final minute against Tampa Bay. The 14-13 loss dropped Cincinnati to 3-2.

Tony Stewart, TE, Cincinnati

Stewart recorded no stats in the Bengals 14-13 loss to Tampa Bay. Cincinnati is 3-2 on the season.

Kenny Watson, RB, Cincinnati

Watson caught four passes for 18 yards against Tampa Bay as the Bengals lost, 14-13. The Bengals are 3-2.

Joe Jurevicius, WR, Cleveland

Jurevicius and the 1-4 Browns had week 6 off and will play host to the Broncos next Sunday.

Marco Rivera, G, Dallas

Rivera and the Dallas offensive line paved the way for 170 yards on 37 carries and allowed two sacks in a 34-6 win over Houston. Dallas is 3-2 on the year.

Courtney Brown, DE, Denver

Brown will miss the rest of the season after undergoing yet another knee surgery last week.

Eddie Drummond, WR, Detroit

Drummond returned three kickoffs for 55 yards and one punt for 16 yards as Detroit won its first game of the year, 20-17, over Buffalo. Detroit is 1-5.

Tyoka Jackson, DT, Detroit

Jackson had one assisted tackle in Detroit's 20-17 win over Buffalo. The Lions are 1-5 for the season.

Kyle Brady, TE, Jacksonville

Brady and the Jaguars had the week off. 3-2 Jacksonville heads to Houston next week.

Tamba Hali, DE, Kansas City

Hali continued his strong play, albeit in a losing effort, in a 45-7 loss to Pittsburgh. Hali recorded seven tackles, two assists and forced twio fumbles as the Chiefs fell to 2-3.

Larry Johnson, RB, Kansas City

Johnson carried the ball 15 times for 26 yards and 1 touchdown and caught 3 passes for 6 yards in a 45-7 loss at Pittsburgh. Kansas City is 2-3 on the year.

Bryan Scott, S, New Orleans

Scott recorded one tackle on special teams as the Saints came from behind to beat Philadelphia 27-24. The surprising Saints improved to 5-1 on the season.

LaVar Arrington, LB, New York Giants

Arrington had one tackle as New York beat Atlanta 27-14 and improved its record to 3-2.

Kareem McKenzie, T, New York Giants

McKenzie and the Giant's offensive line opened up plenty of holes as Tiki Barber rushed for 185 yards on 26 carries in a 27-14 victory over Atlanta. New York is 3-2 on the year.

Brandon Short, LB, New York Giants

Short recorded eight tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble as the Giants beat Atlanta 27-14. The Giants improved to 3-2 for the season.

Jeff Hartings, C, Pittsburgh

Hartings and the rest of the Pittsburgh O-line dominated the Chiefs defense as Pittsburgh gained 219 yards 42 carries in a 45-7 drubbing of Kansas City. Pittsburgh is 2-3 on the 2006 campaign.

Jimmy Kennedy, DT, St. Louis

Kennedy recorded four tackles as the Rams fell 30-28 to Seattle. St. Louis is 4-2 on the season.

Bhawoh Jue, S, San Diego

Jue did not play due to a knee injury in the Chargers' 48-19 manhandling of San Francisco. San Diego is 4-1.

Anthony Adams, DT, San Francisco

Adams did not play due to a knee injury that kept him out of practice for most of last week. San Francisco fell to 2-4 after the 49-19 loss to San Diego.

Michael Robinson, WR/RB, San Francisco

Robinson had one carry for 2 yards and also a tackle on special teams as the 49ers dropped to 2-4 after a 48-19 loss to San Diego.

Bobby Engram, WR, Seattle

Engram sat out the Seahawks' week 6 30-28 win over St. Louis with a thyroid condition. He is expected to make a quick recovery for 4-1 Seattle.

Alan Zemaitis, CB, Tampa Bay

Zemaitis did not record any statistics as Tampa Bay beat Cincinnati in the final minute 14-13 for their first win of the year. Tampa is 1-5 on the season.

Kerry Collins, QB, Tennessee

Collins did not play for the third consecutive week as the Titans bring along rookie QB Vince Young. Tennessee got their first victory of the year, 25-22 over Washington, to improve to 1-5.

Calvin Lowry, S, Tennessee

Lowry recorded two tackles on special teams as the Titans won their first game of 2006, 25-22 over Washington. Tennessee is 1-5.
