Week 7 PSU NFL Report

LaVar may be out for the year, L.J. had a huge game and Drummond returned to form this week. Get the lowdown on these player and the rest of the former Nittany Lions who are now plying their trade in the NFL.

Bryant Johnson, WR, Arizona

Johnson caught three passes for 87 yards in a losing effort as the Cardinals continued their losing ways, falling to the previously winless Raiders, 22-9. Arizona is 1-6 on the season.

David Macklin, CB, Arizona

Macklin recorded three solo tackles as the Cardinals fell to the Raiders, 22-9. Arizona is 1-6 after losing six straight after starting the season off with a win.

John Gilmore, TE, Chicago

Gilmore and the 6-0 Bears had week 7 off and play host to San Francisco in week 8.

Robbie Gould, K, Chicago

Gould put his red hot foot on ice this week as the 6-0 Bears had a bye. They face San Francisco next Sunday.

Ethan Kilmer, S, Cincinnati

Kilmer did not play in Cincinnati's 17-14 win over Carolina, who had won four straight coming into the game. The Bengals are 4-2 after the win.

Tony Stewart, TE, Cincinnati

Stewart hauled in two catches for 33 yards and also had four tackles on special teams (one solo, three assists). Cincinnati improved to 4-2 with the 17-14 win over Carolina.

Kenny Watson, RB, Cincinnati

Watson carried once for 1 yard and had one tackle on special teams in a 17-14 Bengals' win. Cincinnati is 4-2 on the year.

Joe Jurevicius, WR, Cleveland

Jurevicius caught four passes for 40 yards and a touchdown in a 17-7 loss to the Broncos. Cleveland fell to 1-5 on the season.

Marco Rivera, G, Dallas

Rivera and the Dallas offensive line were outplayed by the Giants defensive line in a 36-22 loss at home Monday night. The Cowboys could muster only 69 yards on 21 carries as they fell to 3-3.

Courtney Brown, DE, Denver

Brown will miss the rest of the season after undergoing yet another knee surgery in early October.

Eddie Drummond, WR, Detroit

Drummond returned five kicks for 103 yards and recorded a tackle on special teams in a 31-24 loss to the Jets. Detroit is 1-6 after the loss.

Tyoka Jackson, DT, Detroit

Jackson had a tackle for the Lions, as thye fell to 1-6 after a 31-24 loss to the New York Jets.

Kyle Brady, TE, Jacksonville

Brady was held without a catch as Jacksonville fell to Houston, 27-7. The Jaguars are 3-3 on the season.

Tamba Hali, DE, Kansas City

Hali continued his strong play as he recorded two tackles, one sack and a forced fumble in a 30-27 win over division rival San Diego. Kansas City is 3-3 for the season.

Larry Johnson, RB, Kansas City

Johnson had 28 carries for 132 yards and two touchdowns to go along with two catches for 29 yards as the Chiefs squeaked out a 30-27 win on a 53-yard field goal at the end of regulation. The Chiefs are 3-3.

Bryan Scott, S, New Orleans

The 5-1 Saints had week 7 off and will face Baltimore next weekend.

LaVar Arrington, LB, New York Giants

Arrington recorded two tackles, including a sack of Cowboy QB Drew Bledsoe in the end zone for a safety, in a 36-22 win. Unfortunately, Arrington suffered an Achilles' injury in the game and according to the Associated Press may be out for the rest of the season. New York is 4-2 on the year.

Kareem McKenzie, T, New York Giants

McKenzie and the Giants rushed for 155 yards in a 36-22 win over Dallas. New York is 4-2.

Brandon Short, LB, New York Giants

Short made four tackles and one assist as the 4-2 Giants beat division rival Dallas 36-22 Monday night.

Jeff Hartings, C, Pittsburgh

Hartings and the Steeler offense rushed for just 55 yards on 26 carries in a 41-38 overtime loss to Atlanta. Pittsburgh is 2-4 on the season.

Jimmy Kennedy, DT, St. Louis

Kennedy and the 4-2 Rams had the week off and head to San Diego to face the Chargers on Sunday.

Bhawoh Jue, S, San Diego

Jue dressed but did not play due to a sore knee as San Diego lost on a game-winning Chief's field goal, 20-27. San Diego is 4-2.

Anthony Adams, DT, San Francisco

Adams and the 2-4 49ers had week 7 off as they prepare for the 6-0 Chicago Bears next week.

Michael Robinson, WR/RB, San Francisco

Robinson and the Niners had a bye in week 7. They are 2-4 and head to Chicago next Sunday to face the Bears.

Bobby Engram, WR, Seattle

Engram has sat out the last two weeks after being diagnosed with Graves Disease, a common form of hypothyroidism. Seattle lost to Minnesota, 31-13, as its record fell to 4-2. Engram should be ready to play next week.

Alan Zemaitis, CB, Tampa Bay

Zemaitis did not dress this week. The Buccaneers beat Philadelphia 23-21 on a 62-yards field goal by Matt Bryant with no time on the clock.

Kerry Collins, QB, Tennessee

Collins and the 1-5 Titans had week 7 off as they prepare for Houston next week.

Calvin Lowry, S, Tennessee

Tennessee had a bye this week. The Titans are 1-5 and will face Houston next Sunday.
