Jr. Pa. Lineman to Visit Penn State

More and more Class of 2008 junior prospects are finding their recruitments heating up alredy. One Pennsylvanian defensive end/offensive lineman heads to Happy Valley this weekend to see what the Nittany Lions have to offer.

Most have not heard of Pittsburgh (Pa.) Shadyside Academy offensive lineman Mike Farrell a talented junior. Our guess is that will soon change as the word gets out on possibly one of the most talented big men in the state next season.

At 6-foot-5.5 and 265 pounds, Farrell has an outstanding frame and very good feet. During a game that Scout.com attended earlier this year Farrell dominated. This Saturday, Farrell will take his first unofficial visit to Happy Valley.

"I'm going to the Penn State-Temple game on Saturday," Farrell said. "Penn State is the only school I have heard from so far."

Write it down now, Farrell will be a household name before his senior season. The two-year starter also carries a 3.2 GPA in the classroom.
