Wes, who has yet to play his senior year in high school, claims "at least 50" offers already.
He attended practices this year at Penn State, Maryland and most recently Virginia. The only summer camp he attended was at the University of Maryland. He also took a visit to Michigan State last year.
Does the star linebacker prospect have any other visits scheduled?
"I will take an official visit to Miami, that's for sure, I know that. That will be on December 13," Wes said.
Who might he visit with some of his other official visits?
"Probably Notre Dame," he replied.
In addition to Miami and Notre Dame, Wes listed Maryland, Penn State, Virginia, Michigan State and Florida State as some of his favorites.
All of his favorites have offered him a scholarship.
Like most teams, Penn State has remained in touch with Jefferson.
What does Jefferson like about PSU?
"I like the facilities, the academic program and being able to play early."
Most of Jefferson's games will be played on Saturdays which prohibits him from attending college football games. However, since Gwynn Park's first game will be played on Thursday night, September 5, Wes plans to attend a game at Tennessee (verses Middle Tennessee) on Saturday, September 7.
Wes would like to major in Criminal Justice and perhaps join the FBI some day if he doesn't end up playing football on Sunday afternoons.
