Hunt Heading to Senior Bowl

Penn State's durable running back Tony Hunt has accepted an invitation to play in the Under Armour Senior Bowl game held in Mobile, Alabama, a game Penn State was well represented in last season with Tamba Hali, Michael Robinson and Anwar Phillips all participating.

Tony Hunt will play for the North All-Star squad in the Under Armour Senior Bowl to be held Saturday, January 27, 2007, at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama, according to Yahoo! Sports. Both Senior Bowl teams are coached by the entire coaching staffs from two National Football League teams.

Senior Bowl practices are also attended by over 700 general managers, head coaches, assistant coaches, scouts and other front office personnel from the 32 NFL teams. Also the game will be broadcast on NFL Network.

Last year Michael Robinson, Anwar Phillips and Tamba Hali were all on the Senior Bowl's North roster. Last year's game set a record, showcasing the talents of 15 players who were selected in the first-round of last year's NFL Draft.

Tony Hunt was awarded an unprecedented six Fight On State Player of the Game honors by the fans of Penn State against Ohio State, Michigan, Minnesota, Purdue, Temple and Youngstown State. On the season he rushed for 1228 yards on 246 carries and scored 11 touchdowns. He also caught 26 passes for 252 yards and a team-high three receiving touchdowns.
