WV WR Likes Lions

Seth Fogarty from Morgantown, WV, talks about his favorites and his summer trips. He took a visit to State College this summer and got the enviable opportunity to have a long conversation with Joe Paterno. How did the visit with the legendary coach go?

Name: Seth Fogarty
Position: WR
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 198 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.5
School: Morgantown HS, Morgantown, WV

Seth played both wide-receiver and defensive back for Morgantown last year.

"I had 73 catches for 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns," Seth said of his impressive junior season.  "When I was a sophomore, I had 10 interceptions.  I played strong safety then and any time the quarterback threw to the flat, I  was just there.  I only had 2 or 3 interceptions last year."

Seth is being recruited to play wide-receiver in college.  Several teams have taken notice and extended Fogarty a scholarship offer.

"UCLA, Penn State, West Virginia, Syracuse, Marshall, Georgia, Alabama, Connecticut and Toledo have offered.  I know there are 3  more, but I can't think of the others.  Those are the main ones.

"The top 5 are UCLA, Penn State, West Virginia, UConn and Georgia.  I have 2 schools that I'm really at, but I'd rather not name those teams right now.  I'll be making a decision probably about my 6th week during football season.  I'm not going to wait it out.

"I've visited WVU, Penn State, UConn, Georgia and Marshall.  I live in Morgantown and WVU is right across the street from my house."

Fogarty attended a camp at West Virginia.

"Georgia was for a recruiting camp and they offered me down there.  UConn was a camp and they offered me.  Penn State  previously offered me towards the end of the school year, so during the summer I just went up and talked to Joe Paterno for  about an hour or so."
