With limited action in the all-star game, Hunt managed to pick up 39 yards on eight carries (4.9 YPC) and a touchdown. He also pulled in two passes for 13 yards.
He led all rushers in the contest and was named MVP for the game, the first PSU Senior Bowl overall MVP since Larry Johnson received the honor in 2003.
As Hunt told the Press-Register after the game, "I actually talked to Michael Robinson and he gave me some good advice. He told me to make plays and to go all out because that's what Penn State does. I think I did that today."
Hunt played on the North squad with fellow Lions Paul Posluszny (a North captain) and Levi Brown. Posluszny was part of a defense that shutout the South and contained its rushing attack to minus-35 yards on the day. Brown was part of an offensive line that helped roll up 110 yards on the gorund and 154 yards through the air.
The Nittany Lions played with several fellow Big Ten players, including Michigan's Leon Hall, named the North's defensive MVP, Ohio State's Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Troy Smith, who went 5 for 15 for 52 yards, and Michigan State's Drew Stanton, named the North's offensive MVP, who went 8 for 12 for 53 yards.
