Washington, Pa., linebacker Andrew Sweat has had a remarkable run on scholarship offers as of late. Within the past week and a half, the Trinity High prospect has added offers from Ohio State, Michigan, Duke and Syracuse. On Tuesday, Sweat picked up another offer from a perennial Big Ten power.

“I received my official offer in the mail today [Tuesday] from Penn State,” Sweat said. “I was happy with the offer, because I really like coach [Tom] Bradley and the linebackers coach [Ron Vanderlinden]. I think Penn State is a great place to play and the environment there is awesome. I'm still going to visit other schools, but they are in my top few with Michigan and Ohio State.”

Sweat indicated that two other schools could join his short list if they were to offer.

“The list could change if Notre Dame and Florida offer,” he said. “I've been texting with them a lot and I think they'll be offering soon.”

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound standout has plenty of plans in the near future to keep him busy.

“March 4th I'm going to go to Notre Dame,” Sweat said. “March 9th I'm going to Ohio State with Mike Brewster. It's not a Junior Day. I'm going to stay with my former teammate Andy Miller and check out the school. I'm not sure of the dates yet, but I'm looking at checking out spring games at Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State.”
