"I play tight-end on offense and defensive-end and linebacker on defense," Harold said.
Stanback is primarily being recruited to play rushing defensive-end or linebacker. He prefers to play on the defensive side of the ball where last season he totalled 89 tackles and 6 sacks.
Harold listed verbal offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland and Penn State. He also added that Bowling Green is close to offering.
The home state Terrapins are currently his favorite.
"I'd say Penn State is number two and then Virginia."
According to Harold, Maryland and Penn State are recruiting him to play linebacker and Virginia is recruiting him to play defensive-end.
Stanback has unofficially visited all 3 of his favorites. He is also planning to visit Tennessee in 2 weeks for an official visit. He has no other visits scheduled at this time. He also expressed interest in North Carolina.
Penn State has not yet extended Harold a written scholarship offer.
"They said they're going to offer me at the end of the season. I think they still want to see how I do.
"I went up to Penn State for the Nike camp and talked to the coaches. I walked around the campus with the linemen coach, I don't remember his name (sounds like it was Dick Anderson from the description). I liked the campus. I want to go somewhere where it's hot though, because it was kind of cold."
Stanback is good friends with Deyon Williams, a wide-receiver from Maryland's Forestville High School who has an offer from the Nittany Lions and lists PSU as his current favorite.
"Yeah, he was my teammate. He's like my best friend. He wants me to come there with him, to Penn State. I keep in touch with him like every day."
How would he describe himself as a football player?
"I work hard. I never give up. I'm enthusiastic and I love the game."
