With a loaded schedule for Penn State
, yesterday's Pro Day
event featuring the Nittany Lion seniors shocasing their talents for NFL personnel, is yesterday's news. Today the team's spring practice drills kickoff with recruiting taking center stage tomorrow as PSU hosts several junior prospects for their Class of 2008:
Historically, Penn State has taken a focused group approach to their junior day events, unlike other schools who invite upwards of several hundred juniors to their events. During the event the junior prospects will have the opportunity to take in some spring practice drills, tour the facilties, meet some players, talk with the coaches and get a general feel for the PSU program.
Although there are often last minute changes to these events, some top targets for PSU are expected to make the trek to Happy Valley tomorrow. Among them are:
A.J. Alexander, WR, 5'10", 185 lbs., 4.40/40, Altoona, Pa.
Dan McCarthy, S, 6'2", 190 lbs., 4.48/40, Youngstown, Oh.
DeJuan Miller, WR, 6'5", 200 lbs., 4.60/40, Metuchen, N.J.
Deion Walker, WR, 6'3", 180 lbs., 4.55/40, Christchurch, Va.
Mark Wedderburn, TE, 6'5", 235 lbs., 4.65/40, Springfield, Pa.
Michael Zordich, LB, 6'2", 210 lbs., 4.68/40, Youngstown, Oh.
