From noon until 2 p.m. Friday, we were at Old State Clothing at 310 East College Avenue in downtown State College. Several guests joined us, including:
Tim Shaw. A week before he will be taken in the NFL Draft, the former Nittany Lion linebacker and defensive end signed autographs and talked football. Shaw signed dozen of Fight On State Magazines featuring him on the cover and passed them out to fans of all ages. He also posed for photos.
Todd Rucci and Rick Sayles. The former Nittany Lions stopped by to talk about Sayles' philanthropy, Penn's Civilians. They also signed autographs and posed for photos for the swarm of fans who hit Old State.
Blair Thomas. One of the all-time great Penn State running backs talked about Penn's Civilians, what he is doing now and the current crop of Nittany Lions. Thomas spent time chatting with fans, too.
Todd Blackledge. The former PSU quarterback and current ESPN color analyst popped in to talk about his career and Penn State's current team. He was nice enough to sign a few autographs, as well.
Jason Ganter and Pat Weber. The current Nittany Lion safety and center stopped by at noon to discuss the Lift For Life organization and its transition to a new name, Uplifting Athletes.
We passed out back issues of FOS The Magazine.
If you were stuck at work, Mark Brennan, Jeff Byers and Pat Boland conducted an FOS Chatcast featuring interviews with all of the people listed above.
We would like to sincerely thank all of the celebrities and FOS Community members who made this such a terrific afternoon.
We also set up the FightOnState.com tent in the carnival area near Beaver Stadium Friday evening where we handed out back issues and talked PSU football.
From 10 a.m. until kickoff Saturday, multiple FOS staffers were on hand at our tent near the carnival. We passed out 500 slick roster/autograph sheets and even more back issues, and talked Penn State football.
We thank everyone who stopped by to say hello over the weekend and hope you enjoy our extensive coverage of the Blue-White Game.
