Manuel Trims List to 10

Virginia quarterback E.J. Manuel trimmed his list of favorites down to 10 schools on Wednesday of this week. See which programs are included on his list and where the Nittany Lions stand with the signal caller.

Looking to make a decision before his senior football season kicks off, E.J. Manuel took a step closer towards selecting a school when he narrowed his favorites list down to 10 this past Wednesday.

The programs who made the cut are Florida State, Alamaba, LSU, Maryland, Miami, UNC, Oregon, Tennessee, Rutgers and Penn State.

Manuel was in Happy Valley last weekend for the Nike Camp hosted by Penn State. When asked about his impression of PSU he told Scout, "They have Coach (Joe) Paterno. I had a great unofficial visit there last Friday."

FOS Recruiting Analyst Cory James shared his assessment of Manuel's performance during the event, saying, "For the quarterbacks, it was E.J. Manuel (Virginia Beach, Va.) and a bunch of other bodies for me. It was quite clear that Manuel had the build, athleticism, mechanics and arm strength to be a great one. I would actual compare Manuel favorably to Tyrod Taylor from last year's quarterback class. Manuel is several inches taller than Taylor and probably has a little less quicks, but the rest of the tools are very similar in my opinion."
