RB Scott Has New Suitor

Ventura, Calif., running back Darrell Scott has been no stranger to offers in his recruitment this year. But the latest has definitely made an impact. Find out who has offered Scott and how they shook things up in his recruitment.

Ventura, Calif., running back Darrell Scott is the proud owner of more that 40 offers this year, but the latest offer has stayed on the tip of his tongue.

“I got an offer from Penn State this week,” Scott said. “Well, I don't have it in my hands but Coach [Tom] Bradley told me that it is in the mail.”

The 6-foot-1, 203-pound five-star prospect from St. Bonaventure High has Penn State in the running for his services in 2008.

“Penn State is right up there with Michigan and Florida,” Scott said. “Those aren't my favorites that I am naming, though. I really have no favorites right now despite what some people are saying.”

Scott is planning on letting things die down a little bit until he can take some official visits in September.

“I won't be going anywhere this summer,” Scott said. “I am really excited for September to come so that I can start taking my five official visits. I won't have to take official visits to the local schools like USC, California and UCLA. All of my official visits will be out of state.”

Scott has not narrowed that list down for his official visits, but he plans to do so by the end of the summer.

“I will have to narrow things down at least to the point of official visits,” Scott said. “I will wait and see how the summer goes and then from there I will decide on where I want to go.”

Scott has no timetable for making a decision, although he indicated that he will be making all of his five allowed official visits. Look for more on Scott by the end of summer as to where and when he will be taking his visits.
