New Twist With Alexander

Altoona, Pa., wide receiver A.J. Alexander has been recruited by a who's who of college football programs this year. Alexander has said all along that he would take his time and take all of his visits before making his decision on the college of his future. Now it seems that he has changed his mind. Find out what changed in Alexander's plans and when you might hear from him again.

Altoona, Pa., wide receiver A.J. Alexander has been very hard to read in the recruiting game this year. Alexander has claimed to like schools such as Penn State, Florida State, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame and a host of others.

Now it appears as if the wait may be over as Alexander has set a timeframe for his decision.

“I decided to go ahead and make my decision next week sometime,” Alexander said. “I am just getting tired of the calls and the text messages and I think I know where I want to go so I am going to get it over with.”

Alexander did not narrow his list down for his decision coming next week.

“I am not going to narrow it down or give any finalists,” Alexander said. “I am just going to make my decision based on all of the offers that I have right now.”

Alexander has the Pennsylvania state track and field championships coming up this week. He leaves for the event Thursday. Alexander will be participating in the 100-meter dash as the No. 1 seed going into the event as well as some team relay events.

“I could make my decision right now, but I don't want it to be a distraction from states,” Alexander said. “My coach is coming over tonight (Wednesday) and we are going to talk about it. I have already talked to my family about it and I think that we are comfortable with the decision.”

Alexander does not plan on holding a press conference to make his announcement. Alexander said he will give the news on his commitment when it comes next week.

Stay tuned to next week for Alexander's decision and comments on his school of the future.
