The records said the arresting officer detected alcohol on Lawlor's breath and he had bloodshot eyes and a flushed face. Lawlor told officers that he had four or five beers and he had sipped some Crown Royal and Coke earlier in the evening, according to the records.
Lawlor was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center where a blood-alcohol test was performed. His blood-alcohol concentration was 0.126. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.080.
Lawlor has waived his preliminary hearing and jury selection for his case is scheduled for Oct. 1. Most DUI cases in Centre County are resolved without going to trial.
A redshirt junior, Lawlor has been a career backup. For the 2007 season, he projects as the second-teamer behind Matt Hahn.
