Joseph Bryant plays defensive tackle for Jasper and has helped his team jump out to a 3-0 record.
"I'm having a pretty productive season," Joseph said. "Right now I have 27 tackles and 4 sacks on the season."
Bryant has around a dozen scholarship offers, but is not yet close to narrowing things down.
"I like a bunch of schools. I like Texas, Texas A&M, Penn State, Oklahoma, SMU, TCU, Arkansas, LSU, a bunch of them. I like Tennessee too."
According to Joseph, all of those schools have offered him a scholarship.
It was rumored that he attended the Penn State game verses Louisiana Tech.
"No sir, I haven't visited any schools yet. I'll probably take my visits after the season, I'm just focused on the season right now."
Distance to a prospective school is not a problem for Bryant although his parents would like him to stay close to home. He indicated that a visit to Penn State is a possibility.
Coach Brian Norwood is recruiting Joseph and the two have spoken before.
"He called tonight, but I missed the call."
Joseph said that he has a written offer from the Nittany Lions and is impressed by the school's graduation rate.
"They have the highest graduation percentage in the country. They let me know they're concerned about you more than just on the football field."
Bryant's teammate, Jorrie Adams, is rated by TheInsiders.com and the 4th best offensive line prospect in the country.
"We plan on going to the same school," Joseph said.
Will they take visits together?
"We probably will take visits together since we're choosing to go to the same school together."
Hopefully, the two will make the trip to State College to see what Penn State has to offer.
